Komen South Carolina’s Response to COVID-19
Dear Komen South Carolina Community,
Like you, we’ve been closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19 and adhering to the recommendations provided by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The health, wellbeing and safety of our Komen South Carolina community, many of whom have compromised immune systems due to breast cancer treatment, is our top priority.
As an organization dedicated to saving lives, nothing is more important.
With the COVID-19 situation evolving quickly, we believe we must act decisively. We are here for you, whether by phone or by email. However, out of an abundance of caution and to help stem the spread of this disease in our communities, our physical offices will be closed until April 1.
We recognize that the facts about COVID-19 are still emerging, and that the uncertainty can be unsettling. We are committed to providing updates to you, your families, and our volunteers as new information is available. Please visit our website and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for updates.
Our hearts go out to everyone in this time of uncertainty, and especially those facing breast cancer. The overall impact of COVID-19 will make a significant financial impact on our ability to serve the women and men who need us most. We ask you, as members of the Komen South Carolina family, to help as you can.
Know that we are full of gratitude for our loyal supporters. Thank you for your patience and continued commitment as we navigate this evolving situation together.
Lucy Spears, Executive Director, Susan G. Komen South Carolina
